When you go to visit an art gallery, you don't want to see your own reflection in the glass protecting the paintings. A highly clear view without reflections of light and colour is very important in certain situations. Yet, until now, anti-reflective coated glass has had a prohibitive cost for many of its potential users. However, the Swiss company Hy-Tech-Glass, a subsidiary of Glas Trosch Holding Ltd., states that it has introduced a high quality anti-reflective glass, Luxar, which is available at a very competitive price. This paper looks at its technical characteristics, considers the potential markets, and profiles the company that produces it.
