Anorthite: A New Form Of Raw Material For The Glass Industry

The use of anorthite for the production of a calcium aluminosilicate glass is described. The use of this material which contains 35% alumina can provide all the necessary alumina for this type of glass and enable economies on dolomite and sand to be achieved.
