Analysis Of The Use Of Cullet Obtained From Kerbside Collection

This article considers the quantity of cullet coming from kerbside collection and the production of container glass in Italy during 2003 and relates them to the consumption of natural and synthetic raw materials in order to fix a reliable principle to evaluate the possible growth of ecology cullet in the next years. It also considers and examines, in detail, the principles and technologies to be adopted in order to further increase the use of cullet in place of natural raw materials with the view of reaching a recycling quota closer to those obtained in some Northern European countries.
