Allied Glass Makes £100 Million Sales

Allied Glass has broken the £100 million sales barrier for the first time, driven by overseas demand. The company, backed by private equity group Equistone Partners, saw turnover rise to £102M for the financial year ending December 2012, continuing the growth it had seen in previous years. Allied supplies brands including Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker-owner Diageo, William Grant & Sons and Whyte & Mackay. The sales rise has been fuelled by demand for premium spirits in emerging markets such as China, India, Russia and South America. The company has also appointed a French-speaking Business Development Manager and a multi-lingual Sales Officer to capitalise on business overseas.
