Algeria has a great wealth of natural resources and the exploitation of these resources can provide an excellent platform for the development of the country. In addition to prime oil and gas fields and high grade gold deposits (up to 25g/tonne), Algeria has extensive potential for industrial minerals projects. With close to 60% of the population under the age of 30, low labour costs, and a strategic position at the crossing of Europe - the Arab world and Africa - the efforts made by the Algerian government to promote foreign investment should not be missed by the minerals industry.
