Air Cushion System Reduces Noise Levels & Energy Costs

LiSEC has addressed an issue that traditionally has been a major challenge in the flat glass industry, namely the noise levels created by cutting and break-out tables in production halls. In most cases, the company's eco-cushion air cushion system for horizontal production lines reduces noise levels by up to 12dBA. Eco-cushions have another important benefit, however. They are understood to reduce the energy consumption of machines by at least 40%. In fact, according to the company, reductions of up to 70% are realistic, depending on the glass thickness and machine. LiSEC managed to decrease power consumption for jumbo sizes from 12kW to 4.2kW. Against the backdrop of a complete production line, the system promises significant cost savings. The basis for these impressive results is the coordination of various compoments.
