African Fluorspar - Fighting Fit And Looking To Expand

In recent years, China has hogged the headlines when it comes to fluorspar supply. The industry in Africa took several knocks in the early 1990s when production fell from the 1989 peak of 0.66m tonnes to 0.38m tonnes in 1994. since then, however, the picture has greatly improved and with combined acidspar production of close to 0.45m tpa today the producers in Africa represent a large and important component of the international supply picture.
