As quality demands on modern glass containers increase, the determination of glass colour by appropriate measuring techniques is becoming more important. Increasingly, one-off colour specifications are demanded for standard articles. Therefore, the increased use of recycled glass, the reduction of container weight, the required luminous protection effect and inspection at bottling plants must all be taken into account.
