The Poeting SM-R robot has been designed for the cutting and decoration of glass articles weighing up to 4kg with a maximum size of 300mm diameter and maximum height of 300mm. Larger articles can also be decorated, but with some restrictions. Round, square or oval glass items can also be cut. The decorative cutting machine consists of a standard Kawasaki 6kg industrial robot. All robots in the FA series, with maximum weights from 2-60kg are equipped with special coverings that offer protection from the cutting water. The machine is supplied with compressed air to create pressure within the unit. Cutting water and cutting grinds are therefore unable to penetrate the machine body.
