While specialising in moulds for semi-automatic blowers and automatic presses, as well as for mono-section and single-gob IS machines, Vidrimolde can also supply glassworks with moulds for artistic items such as engraved jars and bowls. The company, based in the Portuguese glass "capital" of Marinha Grande, says it uses CAD/CAM applications integrated with CNC machinery by means of a DNC system. This, claims the firm, helps ensure the effective product management through the on-line gathering and processing of data which serves as a back up to decision making, thus also optimising the interface between the company and its customers. Vidrimolde has its own foundry which, it claims, makes it possible to guarantee fast delivery of good-quality raw materials. (whole item)
