Part of Mexico's giant Vitro glass group, FAMA, produces a range of lehrs for both the hollow and flat glass sectors. According to the Monterrey-based company, the main features of its lehrs are: Full automation, with state-of-the-art technology; a choice of combustion systems; repetitive and constant annealing even in extra wide lehrs; pollution control; fuel consumption savings of up to 65%; electrical energy savings of up to 25%; flexibility in transportation, assembly and installation; uniform curing of thermoplastic and organic paints. FAMA produces three types of lehr specifically for hollow glass processing: Annealing lehrs which can process from 20-200t/day; decorating lehrs with the capacity to process from 10-140t/day; and tempering lehrs processing up to 100t/day.
