In 1998, Horn started to develop a new mixture heating system, after many years experience with the heating of distributor channels and feeders, in response to an increasing demand for stable forehearth combustion. The result is an almost 100% stable gas-air ratio which can be obtained over the entire control range under many different operating conditions, as described in this article.
