Acoustical Properties Of Some Flint Glasses

Studies of the acoustical properties of a number of systems have made it possible to assess the prospects for the use of glass as a material for acoustic lines in acousto-optical devices. In particular, glasses of the SiO2-PbO-K2O system have gained extensive applicaiton in ultrasonic delay lines (UDLs) operating in the mega hertz range.
