Abstract Design Becomes An Economic Reality

When architects J Zafra & J Alarcon, together with designer A Aro, decided to creat a building largely sheathed in glass, imprinted with a bold, abstract design, they were initially confronted with a series of logistical and economic challenges. Located in Murcia, Spain, the project involved 475 different panes of glass which needed to be developed and put togehter in as practical a way as possible. The cost of the project was a major concern and they didn't have much time in which to complete it either.
