Abividro: Glass Packaging Sales Up 5.3%

Sales of glass packaging rose 5.3% in 2006, to BRL 1.23BN the Brazilian Association of Glass Manufacturers (Abividro) said 16 March 2007. According to the body, besides the rebound in the local market, there was also an increase in exports, especially to Venezuela. Exports rose to US$ 26M in 2006, up from US$ 13M in 2005.
