40 Years In Batching And Mixing Systems

Glass batch plants have evolved from large buildings built according to the "in line" design to the "tower" style seen today. In-line batch plants had mechanical dial scales that operated on the "weigh out" principle, which called for a separate scale for each raw material, while modern batch plants operate on the "weigh in" principle, whereby many different products can be dosed from one electronically-controlled weighhopper. Throughout the past four decades Mettler-Toledo has kept abreast of all technological changes and today continues to dedicate its energies to staying at the forefront.
