3D Laser Glass Engraving

Sky Design is an EU 3D glass engraving specialist that is renowned for its trademark process, Vitrics, which enables the glass to be perfectly engraved using a green laser. The Vitro laser allows engraving of up to 10 points per mm into the glass. This sophisticated machine is made by Vitro, a company based in Minden, Germany. Sky Design has recently completed projects with international organisations such a s Navteq and Vodafone, as well as with Arik Levy, a furniture designer. This paper details the technology behind three-dimensional engraving onto glass, and the designs that are possible.
