Johnnie Walker Black Label returns in the sequel of cult classic Blade Runner. Thirty-five years on the Scotch whisky, which was the spirit of choice in the sci-fi classic, has graced the big screen once again.

Johnnie Walker Black Label The Director’s Cut is a new Scotch whisky created by Master Blender Jim Beveridge in collaboration with filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. The limited edition blend is inspired by Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 and is presented in a futuristic bottle which features in the film.

The initial design was proposed by Love Design and has been developed by the British site of Stӧlzle Glass Group. The use of plastic was first proposed for the base and shoulder accessories but Stӧlzle decided to switch to the more sustainable option – a glass bottle.

Made purely from flint glass, the bottle demonstrates a clean, clear hourglass form. A high-gloss black coating covers the top and base, framing the vibrant whisky colour and a short neck and oversized square stopper finishes its unique design.
