Glass Focus Awards 2017

Glass Focus Awards 2017 – supported by Glass Worldwide – took place on Thursday 15 June 2017. The awards showcased the innovation and excellence in glass that underpin our industry’s contribution to the economy, to society and to customers, staff and stakeholders.

This year the award ceremony and dinner was held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds – at the centre of our country’s great east-west glass manufacturing corridor, where nine out of ten of the UK’s largest glass manufacturers have production sites.

See photos from the night.

It was a great chance to get face-to-face with people from across the glass industry and show what we all can do – at individual, company and industry level.

The awards themselves covered areas including product design, sustainability, health and safety, workforce development and more.

We're very grateful to all who helped make this event possible - especially our sponsors, which this year included Glass Technology Services Ltd and Flexion Global.

And the day time conference?

Glass Focus Awards 2017 wasn't preceded by a conference, but complemented our evolving series of targeted meetings and workshops – which take place throughout the year to address policy, technical and business matters as they arise. This allowed our members, partners and stakeholders to direct their involvement for maximum impact.
